Working the queue

Los artículos de ayuda están escritos en inglés. El asistente de la aplicación responde en tu idioma.

The Queue lists everything SeatReaper found, priced, across every client. Open it from the top bar. Owners and techs can act on items; viewers can read them.

The totals

  • Open waste: what open items cost per month.
  • Approved, waiting to be removed: items you decided to remove.
  • Verified saved: approved items a later sync confirmed are gone. This is money that stopped being billed, not an estimate of what might be.

The Overview page also shows Waste by tool: what open and approved items cost in each tool still billing for them (Microsoft 365, CrowdStrike Falcon, N-central and so on), with a count of lines that have no price yet. The Prospect Waste Assessment report includes the same breakdown.

Approve

Approving means "we will remove this". Remove the license, device or backup in the vendor's own console; on Growth and up, an owner can also let the team remove licenses from SeatReaper. Nothing is ever removed automatically. On the next sync, if it is gone, the item becomes Verified saved and its monthly cost counts toward your savings.

Verified means really gone: the person no longer holds those licenses, the purchased count went down, or the device is no longer in the tool. An approved item that stops being flagged for another reason, for example because you raised a threshold or marked a license Ignore, moves to Gone instead and does not count as savings.

Offboard everywhere

On a blocked or inactive person, Offboard everywhere starts an offboarding: one list of their sign-in, licenses, devices and other seats, each confirmed as it disappears.

Dismiss

Dismiss an item that should stay, and say why, for example "on leave until March" or "kept for legal hold". Dismissed items stay dismissed on later syncs. You can reopen one at any time.

Gone

An open item that disappears without being approved (someone fixed it elsewhere) moves to Gone. It does not count as SeatReaper savings.

Disconnecting a tool never counts as savings either: items from a source that is no longer connected close as Gone, not verified.

Items that come back

If a removed license is assigned again, or a device comes back with no activity, the item opens again as new.

Check again

Check again reruns the rules on the latest synced data, for example after you change a price. It does not fetch new data; use Sync now on the client or integration for that.

Export to a spreadsheet

Export CSV at the top of the queue downloads the tab and client you are looking at, with every item's evidence, cost and decision. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

The free scan

On the free plan the queue shows the totals only, and each Microsoft 365 tenant, N-central connection and Cove connection is scanned once. After that the daily sync skips it and Sync now says the free scan is done. Item details, approving or dismissing, and keeping the data up to date are part of Starter and up.

Every approval and dismissal is recorded in the audit log.

New items

Items flagged since you last opened the queue carry a New badge, and the Queue tab shows how many there are. To hear about them by email or as tickets in your PSA, see Alerts and tickets for new flags.
