If you already keep a list of customers in a spreadsheet or your PSA, import it instead of adding clients one by one. Owners and techs can import.
Prepare the file
Save a CSV file (comma separated, UTF-8) with column headings in the first row. Only name is required.
| Column | Also accepted as | Required |
|---|---|---|
name |
client, client name, company, customer | Yes |
m365_tenant_id |
tenant id, Microsoft 365 tenant id, Entra tenant id | No |
ncentral_customer_id |
ncentral id, N-central customer id | No |
cove_partner_id |
cove id, cove customer id | No |
Headings are matched without regard to case, spaces, dashes or underscores. Other columns are ignored and listed in the preview so you know they were skipped. The Download template button on the import page gives you a file with the right headings.
Limits: up to 500 rows and 1 MB per file. Split larger lists into several files.
Preview and fix
Go to Clients > Import CSV and choose the file. Nothing is saved yet. SeatReaper checks every row and shows a preview:
- Ready rows will be imported.
- Rows with problems show why: a missing name, a tenant ID that is not a GUID, an N-central ID that is not a number, or a name or ID that already exists in your workspace or earlier in the same file.
- Rows beyond your plan's free client slots are marked Over your plan's client limit and are not imported.
Fix problems in your spreadsheet and choose the file again, or import the ready rows now and the rest later.
Import
Select Import N clients. The import is all or nothing: if anything changed since the preview (for example a teammate added a client with the same name a moment ago), no rows are saved and you see the reason. Run the preview again and retry.
After the import you return to Clients. Each new client starts its own setup checklist.
Plan limits
The import can never take you past your plan's active client limit. The page tells you how many slots are free before you start. Owners can compare plans on Billing.
